Venus Lau built a fitness app that grows while she stays creative.

Venus Lau is a fitness trainer, founder of Venus Fit, and a coach certified in over 50 movement modalities. After trying three different platforms, she finally found one that let her build the kind of community she'd always envisioned. This is her story.

"My first iteration of having a Venus Fit app looked like Netflix, just stuff all over the place. We would have to create PDFs and say, 'I'm really sorry, this is the best I got.' I'm not a tech person. I'm a trainer. The second platform gave us more categories, but it was still missing that community aspect. That's why we went with Sudor, because you have the community chat."

A membership is built on more than just content.

Videos bring people through the door, but community is what gives them a reason to return. The conversations, shared progress and accountability between members create an experience that extends beyond the next workout.

Venus wasn't looking for another way to organise her content. She was looking for a platform that helped her create those moments naturally.

"The community chat allows me to go on there every day and talk to my people. I have different chats for different programmes, challenges, and different reasons. I like that y'all updated it so people can now like and reply to comments. I love when I see other members talking to each other. I love seeing them connect on the app."

Designing a community people return to.

Community works best when it reflects the journey members are on. Rather than placing everyone in one conversation, Venus created dedicated spaces for different programmes and challenges. Members can connect with people working towards the same goal, while Venus remains part of those conversations along the way.

That is what separates a membership from a video library. The value is not only in the content itself, but in the relationships that form around it. Those relationships are often what give members a reason to keep coming back.

"The reason why we're still with Sudor is because y'all are so helpful. Anytime we have a question, there's always a real human on the other side. We're not talking to an automatic response. And that is what's really important to me, and it's also what's important for my own company when I'm responding to my people."

Build your community with people behind you.

Venus wanted her members to feel supported by a real person, and she wanted the same from the platform behind her business.

Sudor is built around both sides of that relationship: helping creators stay close to their community, while giving them a real team to turn to when they need support. If that sounds like the kind of partnership you're looking for, we'd love to chat.

Partners who trust us.
